【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationoftherateatwhichorganicbiocideisreleasedfromanantifoulingcoatingexposedinsubstituteoceanwater.ThetestisrunentirelyinthelaboratoryundercontrolledconditionsofpH,temperature,salinity,andhydrodynamics.Analyticalproceduresareprovidedforthedeterminationofthereleaserateof4,5-dichloro-2-n-octylisothiazolin-3-one(DCOIT),zincandcopperpyrithione(ZPTandCuPT),andN-cyclopropyl-N-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-6-(methylthio)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine(CDMTD).Atpredeterminedintervals,substituteoceanwatersamplesareanalyzedforleachedbiocideusingasuitableanalyticaltechnique.1.2Incasesinwhichtheantifoulingcoatingcontainsbothanorganicbiocideandacopper-basedbiocide,thereleaserateofcoppermayoptionallybeconcurrentlydeterminedaccordingtotheprocedurefoundinTestMethodD6442.1.3Theprocedurecontainsthepreparationstepsforthedeterminationofthereleaserateofbiocideinsubstituteoceanwaterfromantifoulingpaintsincludingapparatus,reagents,holdingtankconditions,andsamplingpointdetails.TheprocedurecallsfortheaccuratedeterminationoforganicbiocideconcentrationsinsubstituteoceanwateratthelowgL-1(partsperbillion,ppb)level.Todetectandcorrectforreagentimpuritiesandallowasuitablelevelofanalyticalprecisiontobeachieved,theanalyticalmethodtobeusedforthedeterminationoftheconcentrationoforganicbiocideinsubstituteoceanwatermustmeettheacceptabilitycriteriagiveninAnnexA2.WhereAnnexA2specifiesalimitofquantitation(LOQ),theprocedurefordeterminingtheLOQfortheorganicbiocideinsubstituteoceanwaterbytheanalyticalmethodpresentedinistobefollowed.1.4Suitableanalyticalmethodsthatusehigh-performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)fordeterminingtheconcentrationofDCOIT,ZPTandCuPT,andCDMTDinsubstituteoceanwateraregiveninAppendixX1-AppendixX3,respectively.OthermethodsmaybeusedprovidedthattheymeettheappropriatecriteriagiveninAnnexA2.1.5Whenthereleaserateofahighlyphotosensitiveorganicbiocideisbeingdetermined,stepsmustbetakentoprotecttheapparatusandsamplesfromexposuretonaturalandartificialvisiblelightsources.AnysuchrequirementforthesestepstobetakenforaparticularbiocideisindicatedinAnnexA2.1.6Thepracticallimitsforquantifyingbiocidereleaseratesbythismethodarefrom4.5to500gcm-2d-1forDCOIT,0.36to500gcm-2d-1forCuPT,0.36to500gcm-2d-1forZPT,and2.7to500gcm-2d-1forCDMTD.Theserangesmaybeextendedto3.8to500gcm-2d-1forDCOIT,0.16to500gcm-2d-1forCuPT,0.2to500gcm-2d-1forZPT,and2.2to500gcm-2d-1forCDMTDiftheproceduresdescribedin(asappropriate)arefollowed.ThequantitationofreleaserateslowerthantheserangeswillrequiretheuseofanalyticalmethodswithlowerlimitsofquantitationthanthosespecifiedinAnnexA2.1.7Theresultsofthistestmethoddonotreflectenvironmentalbiocidereleaseratesforantifoulingproducts,andarenotsuitablefordirectuseintheprocessofgeneratingenvironmentalriskassessments,environmentalloadingestimates,orforestablishingreleaseratelimitsforregulatorypurposes.SeealsoSection4.1.8ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminethea......
