【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesasmall-scalelaboratoryscreeningprocedureforcomparingtherelativehorizontalburningcharacteristicsofsmalltestpiecesofflexiblecellularpolymericmaterialexposedtoaIow-energysourceofheat.Itisintendedonlyforthepurposeofassessingquicklyandsimplythehorizontalburningcharacteristicsofsmalltestpiecesofthematerialassuch,i.e.consideredwithoutreferencetotheenvironmentalconditionsunderwhichthematerial,orproductsmadefromit,maybeused.Asaconsequence,itisnotpossibletoestablishacorrelationbetweentheresultsofthistestandtheperformanceofsuchmaterialsorproductsunder~,,actualserviceconditions.Thetestisrestrictedtotestpiecesofthicknessgreaterthan5mm.ResultsoftestsonVtestpiecesofdifferentthicknessesarenotcomparable.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeusedtoassessthepotentialfirehazardinuse.N~TEForcellularplasticshavingadensitylessthan250kg/m3,anothertestmethodexists:ISO9772:2001,Cellularplastics--Determinationofhorizontalburningcharacteristicsofsmallspecimenssubjectedtoasmallflame.ThetestequipmentandproceduresdifferfromthosecontainedinthisInternationalStandard,anditshouldnotthereforebeassumedthattheywillproduceidenticaltestresults.
