【摘要】:ThisDraftforDevelopmentexaminesthelimitationsoftheconecalorimeterascurrentlyusedforbuildingproductsandrecommendswaysinwhichsomeofthesemaybeovercomeforothertypesofproductsforotherapplicationareas.Itdrawstogetherinformationfromalargebodyofexperiencewithregardtotheuseoftheinstrumentintoasetofguidelineswhichwillhelptostandardizetheuseoftheconecalorimeterinthiswiderscope.Particularguidanceisgivenonaspectsofspecimenpreparationandonthebehaviour,suchasmelting,spallingandintumescing,ofspecimensexposedtoradiantheat.Therelevanceofspecimenthicknessandtheuseofsubstrateandmethodsoffixingtosubstrateisalsodiscussed.Adviceisgivenonapproachestotestingavarietyof"non-standard"products.Recommendationsaremadeontechniquesofcalibrationoftheapparatus,selectionofappropriateheatfluxlevelsandignitionprotocols.
