【摘要】:1.1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsforthedeterminationofthewatercontentofplasticsintheformofgranulesandfinishedarticles.Thesemethodsdonottestforwaterabsorption(kineticsandequilibrium)ofplasticsasmeasuredbyISO62.Themethodsaresuitableforthedeterminationofwatercontentaslowasthefollowinglevels:-MethodA0,1%orbetter;-MethodB0,01%orbetter;-MethodC0,01%orbetter.Watercontentisanimportantparameterforprocessingmaterials,andshouldremainbelowthelevelspecifiedintheappropriatematerialstandard.1.2ThreealternativemethodsarespecifiedinthisInternationalStandard:a)MethodAisanextractionmethodusinganhydrousmethanolfollowedbyaKarlFischertitrationoftheextractedwater.Itcanbeusedforallplasticsandisapplicabletogranuleshavingamaximumsizeof4mm×4mm×3mm.b)MethodBisavaporizationmethodusingheated,dryairornitrogengastoevaporatethewater,followedbyaKarlFischertitrationofthecollectedwater.Itcanbeusedforallplasticsandisapplicabletogranulessmallerthan4mm×4mm×3mm.c)MethodCisamanometricmethod.Thewatercontentisdeterminedfromtheincreaseinpressurewhichresultswhenthewaterisevaporatedunderavacuum.Thismethodisnotapplicabletoplasticsamplescontainingvolatilecompounds,otherthanwater,inamountscontributingsignificantlytothevapourpressureatroomtemperature.Checksforthepresenceoflargeamountsofvolatilecompoundsshouldbecarriedoutperiodically,forexamplebygaschromatography.Suchchecksareparticularlyrequiredfornewtypesorgradesofmaterial.
